After two years of support in training, quality and marketing, the Idine cooperative has completed the first export order in its history.
From workshop to market
The order covered one hundred and twenty pieces of traditional textiles dyed with plant-based colours, produced by fourteen artisans over eleven weeks.
The milestone validates the association’s support model in practice: technical training, then help with standards and quality, then direct market linkage.
What comes next
The cooperative is now working to double output without compromising the quality of hand dyeing — the real challenge for the year ahead.
